There’s no doubt that the picturesque town of Sax is best known for its castle. Much of the castle dates from the tenth century although the Levante Tower was added in the 12th century.
Modern-day Sax is a typical town with all the modern facilities you could require. The Centro Historico is the place to see some of the best monuments in the area. Many of the steep, narrow streets have retained their Moorish styles.
